Terms of use

These terms apply to the Empire Groups website, your Empire account, the Empire Launcher, our games and apps on computer, iPhone and iPad, online saves and Empire Forge (together, the “services”). By creating an account or using the services, you accept these terms and our privacy policy.

The services are provided by 2B Web, trading as Empire Groups (“Empire Groups”, “we”) — sole proprietorship (entreprise individuelle) of Morgan BOUCHARD, 55 avenue de Cannes, Villa des Pins, bâtiment D, 06160 Antibes, France, SIRET 106 351 240 00010 (see our legal notice). Your account

You need a free Empire account to use the launcher, our games and apps. Give accurate information, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using your account: you are responsible for what happens with it. One account per person; accounts can’t be sold, rented or shared.

If you are under 15, you need the permission of a parent or guardian to create an account.

Using the launcher and our games

We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to install and use the Empire Launcher and the games in your library on your own devices, for as long as you have an account and follow these terms.

You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute our software; decompile or modify it, except where the law allows it; use cheats, bots or tools that interfere with the games or our servers; or get around the launcher’s access checks.

Free games, early access and betas

Our games are currently free. Some are in early access or in closed beta: they are still being built, so features, balance and saves can change, be reset or be removed. Beta places are limited and granted at our discretion. Before a game joins your library, the launcher shows you its own conditions: they are part of these terms.

Online saves

Online saves let you continue a game on another device. We keep the latest version of each save and the one before it, and take reasonable care of them, but we can’t guarantee that a save will never be lost or damaged — especially during early access and betas. Online saves are deleted with your account.

Empire Forge

Empire Forge lets players share creations made with our games’ editors. Creations can only be published from a game’s editor.

Your creations

You keep the rights you have in your creations. By publishing one, you give Empire Groups a free, worldwide and non-exclusive license to host, copy, show and distribute it through our services, and you allow other players to download it and use it in our games, for as long as it is published. Players who already downloaded it may keep it on their devices until they unsubscribe.

You confirm that you made the creation or have the right to share it, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.

What is not allowed

• content you don’t have the rights to (other people’s work, trademarks, copyrighted material);
• illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual or violent content;
• misleading or harmful files, spam and advertising;
• other people’s personal information.

Moderation and reports

Anyone can report a creation or a comment with the Report button in the launcher, or through our contact form — including to report illegal content. Our moderators review every report. We may hide or remove content that breaks these rules and stop an account from publishing or commenting; when we hide one of your creations, the launcher shows you the reason. If you disagree with a decision, write to us and we will review it.

Behaving well

Be respectful in comments and in everything you share. Harassment, threats, discrimination, impersonation and spam are not allowed.

Intellectual property

Empire Groups, Airline Empire, Motorsport Empire, Urban Empire and Empire Forge, their logos, our software, games, texts, images and videos belong to their publisher and are protected. Real-world names that appear in our games (for example airlines or circuits) belong to their owners and are used for identification only, without affiliation or endorsement. Third-party software, fonts and data are used under their own licenses, listed on our licenses page.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the services available, but they may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. We may change or stop a service, a game or a feature. If we make important changes to these terms, we will tell you in the launcher or by email before they apply.

Liability

The services are provided free of charge, as they are. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage or for the loss of game progress. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow it — in particular for gross negligence or intentional misconduct — or the rights you have as a consumer.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time, from the launcher or our apps (see our support page). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; except in urgent cases, we will tell you why first.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. In case of a disagreement, write to us first: we will try to find a solution together. Otherwise, the competent courts will be those set by law.
